Kirin Lemon: Kirin Beverages’ Iconinc Soda Drink
Introduced in 1928 by Kirin Brewery Company (present Kirin Beverages), Kirin Lemon has similar features to Sprite compared to Mitsuya Cider.
While cider reminds many Japanese of Asahi Mitsuya Cider, Kirin Lemon is Japan’s most iconic lemon-flavored soda drink.
Kirin Lemon Soda Drink
Kirin Lemon (キリンレモン) is also a clear and colorless carbonated beverage using pure water, and its fizz is brisk, like Coca-Cola Sprite.
However, unlike Sprite, this drink contains no fruit juice. Instead, it uses extract from Setouchi Lemon, which makes its taste/flavor more citrusy than Mitsuya Cider.
Kirin Lemon is not sweet compared to Mitsuya Cider and is more lemony than Sprite. Therefore, you can decide which to choose depending on your mood.
