Fujiya Country Ma’am: Japan’s No.1 Cookie Brand
Fujiya (不二家) is a long-established Japanese food maker known for its fabulous cakes and cute mascot character named Peko-chan (ペコちゃん), associated with the soft milk candy Milky.
Not only Milky, but Fujiya also boasts its cookies, and Country Ma’am (カントリーマアム) has a delicious taste that lives up to its reputation, representing the company.

Actually, Fujiya Country Ma’am is Japan’s No.1/best-selling cookie series and has long been a favorite in my country since its release in 1984, available at every supermarket.
In fact, the description says that the Country Ma’am brand has been number 1 (in sales) in the market of biscuits and crackers for as long as 15 straight years.
The regular product I bought for 278 yen contains 19 individually-packed cookies; the 10 with white packaging are vanilla cookies, and the rest in red have a cocoa flavor.
The Country Ma’am cookies have a distinctive texture that sets them apart from their counterparts, and they are crispy on the outside and moist and soft on the inside.
One more characteristic that makes these snacks addictive is the chocolate chips embedded inside. Both flavors have the right degree of sweetness and taste very good!
