Nissin Cup Noodles Tom Yum Kung Flavor Instant Ramen
A few years ago, several kinds of Asian-style cup ramen from Nissin were available at many supermarkets and convenience stores in Japan.
Among those, I especially loved Nissin Cup Noodles Singapore Laksa, though I haven’t seen the instant ramen being sold anywhere recently.
Not only that Laksa ramen but most of those exotic instant ramen can’t also be bought now.
However, to my joy, a cup of ethnic Asian-style ramen from Nissin that has also been one of my favorites is somehow still available now.
Nissin Tom Yum Cup Noodles
The Asian-style cup ramen I have loved long is the one shown above “Nissin Cup Noodles Tom Yum Kung”.
As you can see in the photo, a yellow packet comes with the container, which contains “TOM YUM PASTE” for the instant noodle soup.
Ingredients
As for the contents, in the cup, the dry garnish consisting of seasoned shrimps, mushrooms, finely ground red chili pepper, and coriander are scattered on the dried wheat noodle block.
Cooking
The cooking of this cup ramen is almost the same as other regular Nissin Cup Noodles;
First, pour boiling water until it reaches the line indicated inside the container, close the lid, and let the tom yum paste warm on the cup for 3 minutes.
3 minutes later, remove the lid and add in the tom yum paste. Then, stir all the ingredients well with chopsticks, and you can enjoy the noodle soup.
Taste
The Nissin Cup Noodles Tom Yum Kung ramen has a quite authentic Tom Yum flavor. It is not overly spicy, rather creamy.
I think this is probably because Nissin Japan developed the cup ramen in collaboration with Nissin Thailand.
