Yuraku Black Thunder: Japan’s No.1 Chocolate Bar
Today, to buy foodstuffs, I went to a drugstore near my house and picked up a popular Dagashi chocolate bar that is my favorite in the snack and candy section.
Yuraku Black Thunder Chocolate Bar
The name of the chocolate treat I purchased this time is Black Thunder (ブラックサンダー), produced and sold by Yuraku (ユーラク) and priced at 30 yen.
The maker introduced the product into the market in 1994, and later, it became a big hit.
And today, Yuraku sells over one hundred million Black Thunder bars in one year.
Black Thunder has now become Japan’s most loved chocolate bar. It is especially popular with young women, but I don’t know why.
Features/Taste
This chocolate is not overly sweet and features a pleasant crunchy texture from cocoa cookies embedded throughout the bar.
This treat has a mild and rich flavor and is so yummy that I can’t get enough of eating it!
