Aquarius Newater: New Water from Coca-Cola Japan
Aquarius (アクエリアス) is a sports drink from Coca-Cola that’s long been a favorite in Japan, together with Otsuka Pocari Sweat, which recently introduced a new edition of its “water” called Aquarius Newater.
Aquarius Newater
Coca-Cola Japan started to sell the hydration beverage named Aquarius Newater (Price: 160 yen, excluding tax) on April 17th, and I picked up this 500 ml PET bottle in a 7-Eleven convenience store the other day.
The new Aquarius water is zero-carb and zero-calories with minerals, amino acids, and citric acid, surpassing water. In other words, the beverage is more tasty and refreshing than water and works better in hydration.
As you can see on the packaging, the Aquarius Newater has a クリアレモン/clear lemon flavor, and its taste is less sweet than you think. But with a good harmony between a hint of sweetness and acidity, the beverage is very easy to drink!
vs. Regular Aquarius Sports Drink
As its name suggests, the Aquarius Newater is less sweet and more like water than the regular Aquarius sports drink, though both work very well in hydration. Specifically, here are the comparison tables of their ingredients and nutrition facts.
